<
??Elements of a story (plot, characters, conflict, setting, theme, dialogue, and figurative language).
<
??A hook at the beginning and end with a strong message or final thought for your reader to ponder.
<
??MLA format.
<
??Your story must be 2-5 pages in length (no longer than 5 pages in length) double-spaced.
<
Your narrative is due on Tuesday, November 1st, by midnight on Google Classroom.
<
Consider answering these questions on a piece of notebook paper before you begin writing your narrative:
<
What does your monster physically look like? (Think of your 5 senses: what does your monster smell like? How does your monster feel? What does your monster sound like?)
<
It might be helpful to draw your monster.
<
– What makes your monster a monster? How does your monster behave??Where did your monster come from (forest, laboratory, sky, etc.)??What is the purpose of your monster? (For example, was your monster intended to scare children into doing what their parents wanted them to do? Was vour monster intended to make rabbits come out of their hiding places so that hunters could catch them? Etc.)
<
Nov 9 Important to Note:
<
You are not describing a monster that has already been created. (For example, you are not writing down the legend of the Boogeyman.) Instead, you are writing about a monster that you have created by yourself.
